Corona Virus
Covid-19 Most People are at risk of infection.
The risk of Covid19 is higher for vulnerable people.
The list of vulnerable people includes the elderly, those with underlying health conditions etc.
Most cases lead to mild symptoms, persistent coughing, high temperature, lack of smell and lack of taste. However, the disease can be fatal.
Transmission is via person to person spread by airborne droplets, physical contact via contaminated surfaces. General
• The game remains at stage D on the RFU’s Return to Community Rugby Roadmap
• Only people who have no Covid19 symptoms or have not knowingly been exposed to someone with Covid19 in the past 14 days may visit the club.
• Anyone who may be vulnerable to Covid19 virus or resides with someone who is vulnerable to the virus should not attend the club.
• Coaches and Participants will always comply with Government and RFC guidance
• All attendees must abide by social distancing measures keeping a 2m distance between themselves and others except when participating in training and matches.
• Touch and Ready 4 Rugby are the only permitted approved activities for training and match play.
• Maximum 15-minute continuous activity at any one time.
• Participants must bring their own water bottles and personal equipment clearly labelled to keep separate from others
• Anyone who develops Covid19 symptoms must notify the club immediately

• The Club premises will be open to coaches, members and participants, but with restricted usage to ensure social distancing.
• WRFC will permit Touch/Ready 4 Rugby with other clubs. This will be accessed weekly by the management committee.
Club House and Grounds
• The Clubhouse will be open for access to Toilets, catering services and Bar
• Parents and Spectators must remain socially distanced while at the club
Briefing and Direction
For each session the lead coach will make every to:
• Brief all participants on the infection control measures before session commence
• Check all present do not have any Covid 19 symptoms or been in contact with anyone who has Covid 19
• Ensure social distancing is maintained throughout training
• Ensure equipment has been cleaned before the start of any session
Hygiene
• Participants will clean their hands before and at the end of training. Antivirus gel is situated at the entrance exit and other locations
• Everyone should bring a water bottle
• Players should avoid touching equipment unnecessarily
• Equipment sharing should be kept to a minimum and used only at the direction of coaches
• Team huddles should be avoided. Spitting and chewing gum should also be avoided.
• All Participants will always be required to follow RFU guidelines. Anyone not following these guidelines will be asked to leave immediately. We will be operating a 3 strikes rule and offenders will not be permitted to train or participate in touch and Ready 4 Rugby matches.
• All individuals should maintain a social distance of 2 meters before and after sessions, including Carpark
• All Parents must always follow Government Social Distancing guidelines while on Club premises
Equipment
• Equipment sharing should be minimised with only essential equipment shared
• Any equipment such as tackle bags, shield, pads should be cleaned and sanitised after each individual player use
• Water butts and buckets will be provided with suitable sanitising liquid to enable cleaning of equipment
• Scrum Machine will not be used
• Players should refrain from touching or removing mouth guards, and if they do, they should wash hands. Mouth guards must not be left on shared surfaces.
• Head guards and shoulder pads cannot be shared.
First Aid
• Participants will self-administer to minor injuries sustained
• When someone requires assistance, Face Coverings must be worn by all, and gloves worn by those giving the assistance
• First aid cover will be provided
Communications
• The relevant coach will communicate training information via usual channels
• Advisory notices and updates will be displayed at the club, on website and communicated via whats app groups
• Parents/guardians will be sent reminders through the platforms above
• Signage to be placed around club for directions (one-way system etc)
