Return to Play
Player sentiment was to return to training as soon as possible, and so the Senior player coaching team have been providing RFU compliant social distance and hygiene facilities with Thursday night sessions.
In small groups and split sessions, we have seen great numbers, with players old and new getting fit and ready for next season.
Information and updates are available through our Facebook page: Player Recruitment Follow to receive information and updates.
Youth teams have also started to return, with the older ages starting first. Each age group restart and training times will vary from team to team, but all sessions will follow the same strict guidelines.
Return to Drink
We have considered reopening with the relaxing of restrictions for pubs and bars, but in weighing up the steps required to trade versus the level of business we have decided to wait for the situation to settle further and restrictions to relax.
This is the same for hall hire, which may be delayed even further for gatherings with large numbers.
Fields Redevelopment Project
There have been a series of delays caused mainly by environmental considerations, such as foliage and floodlighting. Working with our partners we believe we are now over most of these and hope to make real progress soon.
Regular updates are posted frequently on the various groups and chats associated with the club, as soon as we have any further information we'll let you know.
Good health to all, we hope to start with a full pre-season schedule as soon as possible.
